Ever see the “Flex” music video by Rich Homie Quan where he’s hitting a little groove?
Well that little groove inspired a huge viral dance!
Rapper iHeartMemphis loved the groove so much that he created a short dance based entirely around it, along with a song and music video called “Hit the Quan” as a tribute.

HOW TO HIT THE QUAN:
- The base of “Hit the Quan” is this groove: rock upper body forward, bounce with your knees, push your hips forward and lean back. As you do this rock and bounce motion, allow your arms to mimic the motion of swimming or rowing a boat.
- Got all that down? Now you’re going to start tapping your toes on each side for every beat. This might feel a little unnatural at first – technically your legs are going double time while your body is rocking right on the beat.
- Drill the rock, bounce, toe tap, and arms slowly at first, then work your way to full tempo. As you do the move, be sure to keep your body lower to the ground! No need to get a ton of air with each toe tap.
All done!
Remember, most of the “Hit the Quan” motion comes from the core of your body. You gotta practice the rock, while practicing that step!
