How to Juju On That Beat

  1. Let’s start with the basic groove. You’re gonna begin swaying your body to the right on each beat, going from an upright position to bending your knees and dropping your right shoulder.
  2. Next, add in your arms. As your body is swaying to the right, you’re going to take your left arm and swing it from left to right. Your hand should go from beside your ear to in front of your right shoulder.
  3. Now let’s put the groove and arm movement together. To stay on beat, keep in mind that it should almost feel like you’re pausing your body in the middle. You should go: knees bent + left hand up, knees straight + hand in front, knees bent + left hand across chest.
  4. When you feel like you’ve got the mechanics down, try adding in your right arm! It should visually match the left arm’s movement, so your right arm will go: right hand at chest, straight out in front, right hand by ear. This will make it look like the hands are following each other as they swing back and forth across your chest.

All done!

As a variation, you can also try changing up your levels while you continue the move.

To do this, you’ll start squatting down for the first 4 beats, and then bring your body back up for the second 4 beats.
